Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I am really at a loss as to what else to try. Take my printer off Air Print and reinstall it on the Canon settings (so I can select the greyscale option - which didn't work). This made no difference and now I am getting blank pages when I print, even in colour. I changed the smaller black ink cartridge (it lights up red when correctly installed so I know it's right). I have 2 black cartridges in my printer and noticed the big one is still full so realised that I must have some settings wrong on my Mac for it not to print from both black cartridges and thought that explained my problem. A few weeks ago it stopped printing the black ink, so I checked the ink levels but they weren't showing as empty. I have a Canon iP7250 printer which, up until recently, printed fine via Air Print from my Mac. Ink cartridges installed incorrectly or missing.I am using a MacBook Air (OS X El Capitan version: 10.11.3).The printer test page may not print if it is having a mechanical problem. The ink cartridges need to be clear of anything blocking their path, such as dried ink or paper jams. It may be time to replace your ink cartridges if your Printhead Cleaning Cycle does not improve print quality. This process prints many pages of text, similar to a printer test page, to flush out ink that has dried on the printhead. You can find Printhead Cleaning Cycles in the printer's menu settings or under "Devices and Settings" on your PC. When you complete a Printhead Cleaning Cycle, like the printer's test page, you print many pages to remove any dried ink or irregularities from the cartridge.Ĭlean the printheads. You can find the printhead cleaning cycle in the menu settings on the printer display or in the devices and settings section on your PC. Using the Printhead Cleaning Cycle, clean the printheads.
